We knew Pastor John from the time he was our Pastor at the Liverpool Chinese Gospel Church many years ago! He and Patty were great examples to us on how to serve the Lord in humility and simplicity, with loving hospitality. We spent many happy months in weekly Bible studies in their home before they moved to Paris where we would still visit them from time to time afterwards. After moving to Mauritius we would have fewer opportunities to visit them but we still kept in touch and prayed for John in particular as he bravely fought the cancer. We trust he is now rejoicing with the Lord in heaven and we pray for Patty, Charis and Matthew to keep strong as they will miss him a lot. Bernard and Gina
